On the Terrace
02:40
|
|||
Currently on my way down from the terrace
I can tell you why if you pull the curtain
Back up on the terrace I'm alone, where I belong
Fall in love with the sound of whispers
Surroundings appear to glister
Stare into a thousand identities
Currently on my way down from the terrace
I can tell you a thing or two about this appearance
Consolation arrived: It's a sybarite religion
I fell in love with a thousand faces
I fell in love back on the terrace
Straighten out my thoughts, confront the missing traces
Redirect my focus and remove myself from stasis
Would you like to join in? (x6)

The Prettiest Stretch

Free me
Release me, the senses I can't (x2)
Bring me to what I am
They still cross our skies
It's easier with time
They still cross our minds
It's easier with time
It's piling up and tumbling down
A grotesque quote my ears wrap around
It's your fault I hope, but I know it's not sound
A suppressed quote
And fear drumming down
My fleshy face bound, it weathers and flairs
At the grave we impart our cursory care
Flowers constitute collective nightmares
Actions which speak volumes for despair
I've been yearning for a better year
The streets cracks are scars

I Saw You Lost
04:04
|

I saw you lost in the stairwell of my mind
Found you balled up
You were mesmerized by the passage of time
Ascend, descend several flights
Resounding footfall throughout the night
The moon shone bright in your eyes
Compelled towards a towering shrine
Cast off the shackles
The past pulled you by twine, no longer keeps you confined
Behold your new plan: revival
Memories can tend to call the shots
Indulging poignant thought
Where the years drift out of sight
Present tense was lost, and the fine print might present itself in a bubbly font
Seizing the depths of your mind
Fretting and frowning beneath the surface, distraught
And now I was lost
Drowning in spaces you did stride
The “I” in time began to wander off
Found yourself lost in the forest, you signed
While speaking to her, you confide
In the sound of her sobbing and subtly sewing imagery of dimming lights drowned in black ink like the sky
So slowly we embrace, we’re bound by fright
To think I believed in that trite
Memento from a dark era of my life
Lifestyles sold in a package, require no thought
A fictitious rot, commonly sought after by the isolated lot
Myself included, I write to better inform myself of the ought
I must approach in my time
Such limited time on this rock
Suspended and dying

Phased out and hazy
My body feels lazy
Start seeping from the tree hallow
Nature is so overwhelming, green swallows the setting
Blinding me with it's hue
That picture perfect people pleasing hack is on his way out
And pretty petals perched upon the trees begin to rain abound
Parity purports to disengage, the things that led us down
Prioritizing petty words which ring and never fade out
Try to get to your train on time (x2)
(This is a bout)
Try to get to your train on time (x2)

Dainty Orange Frog
02:40
|
|||
I try to remember yesterday
I wonder if I'll remember yesterday a year from now
Some days it's just best to sleep in
And that will change as I carve my own path
I am a square peg shoved into a round hole
I will find somewhere I belong (x2)
I am standing here without a camera as time flies by
What a waste of air
I tend to forget I am a human, lit my clothes on fire
That was not me. Where is he?
I'm still searching for where I belong
Purpose is not a destination; take my time, I'm strong
(x2)
I could leave my body forever (x6)
And never return
